Icons

Six references that define collecting

Rolex Submariner

The blueprint every dive watch is measured against, and the most liquid reference in the market.

from €11.500

Cartier Tank

A rectangle drawn in 1917 that has never needed redesigning. The purest dress watch there is.

from €4.200

AP Royal Oak

Gérald Genta's octagon: steel priced like gold, and the watch that created a category.

from €38.000

Patek Nautilus

The porthole silhouette that turned a sports watch into the most collected object in horology.

from €82.000

Tudor Black Bay

Genuine tool-watch heritage with a modern METAS chronometer inside. The value benchmark.

from €3.150

Breitling Navitimer

A slide-rule cockpit instrument still made the way pilots asked for in 1952.

Watchmaker inspecting a movement

Perspective

Buy the watch, not the graph

Some references have historically held value well. That is a consequence of scarcity, demand and condition — never a promise.

  • Full sets consistently outperform incomplete examples on resale.
  • Unpolished cases command a premium that grows with age.
  • Service history from an authorised watchmaker protects value.
  • We publish honest condition notes, including the flaws.

Sell & trade

We buy watches outright — payment within 24 hours

Direct purchase, insured collection and no commission deducted after the fact. Trade-in values are higher again when applied against a piece from our collection.

Private sourcing

Not in the collection? We will find it.

Most searches produce three or more configurations within two weeks, through our European dealer and collector network. No search fee — you pay only if you accept a watch we present.

Buying guide

How to buy a watch properly

01

Define the reference

Family, case size, dial and bracelet. Two watches from one family can differ by tens of thousands.

02

Decide on the set

Box and papers typically add 5–12% to value and make resale considerably easier.

03

Inspect the case

Sharp lugs and unrounded bevels indicate an unpolished, honest example.

04

Verify the movement

The calibre, serial and finishing must match factory specification for the reference and year.
